MURASAKI SHIKIBU’NUN GÜNLÜĞÜ: The first book translated into Turkish directly from Heian Period Japanese. Translated from Kurokawa copy. It has been published in 2009 by Is Kultur Publication Classical series. In the first pages there is the translation’s presentation by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Nur Tekmen, The chair of Ankara University Japanese Language and Literature program and one of the pioneers of Japanese studies in Turkey. In the introduction there is an essay titled “Murasaki Shikibu and Heian Period” by Dr. Esin Esen.
